Fibrillation is the process of forming multiple short cuts or splits in the yarn parallel to the yarn axis. This is accomplished by passing the drawn tape over a roller that has some rows of sharpened pins.

With fibrillation process the surface speed of the fibrillation roll is greater than the yarn speed, causing the pin to first penetrate the tape, then “slice” the tape for a given length (determined by the difference in surface speeds). The result is a “fishnet” type pattern in the fibrillated tape. Fibrillated tapes can be twisted. We can offer fibrillation rollers with grooves for needle bars and needles bars as well. The pin projection, the numbers of the pins each cm, the pin pattern and density can be customized to the application.
La fibrillazione è il processo di formazione di più taglietti e/o spaccature nel filo parallelamente all'asse del filo. Ciò si ottiene facendo passare il materiale su un rullo che ha alcune file di aghi. La velocità superficiale del rullo di fibrillazione è maggiore della velocità del materiale, facendo sì che gli aghi “affettino” il materiale per una data lunghezza (determinata dalla differenza delle velocità superficiali). Il risultato è un motivo di tipo "a rete" del materiale fibrillato. Il materiale fibrillato può essere attorcigliato. Possiamo offrire rulli con cave, e barrette ad aghi. La disposizione degli aghi, la densità degli aghi per cm, la sporgenza degli aghi possono essere personalizzata a seconda dell’applicazione.
